First group of students and professionals who participated in the seminar: “Applications of DNA technologies for the diagnosis and identification” in 2011. Additionally, Dr. Robert Allen dictated a series of conference.
Public Ministery officials, teachers and students from UNACHI participated the series of conferences entitled: “Past present and future applications of DNA technology for identification” given by Dr. Robert Allen, director of the Department of Forensic Sciences at Oklahoma State University. Dr. Allen has collaborated with the establishment of human identification program in Centro Gendiagnostik since 2009.
3) Dr. Oriana Batista was the coordinator of the health table during the design of research priorities for UNACHI University. This activity was organized by the Vicerrectory of Research and Graduate programs in September 2-4, 2013.
4) Dr. Oriana Batista and graduate Martha Gomez received training in human identification, sequencing and fragment analysis using the genetic analyzer ABI 3500. This training was facilitated by professionals from Life Technologies of Mexico with the participation of the company PROMED Panama. This training was made in January, 20-23, 2014.
